After some reading i'm not shure anymore which firmware to use. I have noticed a lot of TX errors with the K3.0 builds and lot less to none with the K2.6 builds. Could this exist a setting problem, all the same I have play around with the wireless settingsand the sellected channels are totally free from other wireless signals. Please allow me now your experiences with this router and it'southward recommended firmware. Quote from: https://world wide web.stevejenkins.com/blog/2013/01/my-cisco-linksys-e4200-dd-wrt-settings-for-max-speed/ Quote: | UPDATED Dec 21, 2016. This post is a reference post for those looking to squeeze maximum speed out of their Cisco Linksys E4200 v1 wireless router running DD-WRT. The DD-WRT build I currently recommend for this router is K2.6 30880 (by BrainSlayer). IMPORTANT: My testing shows that DD-WRT K2.6 builds are much faster on the E4200 vs. DD-WRT K3.ten builds. But if you lot're still convinced yous desire to run a K3.10 build, read this commodity before migrating. Also, you lot can always access my fractional mirror containing recommended E4200 builds at http://ddwrt.stevejenkins.com/. | Quote from: https://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/alphabetize.php/Linksys_E4200 Quote: | Upgrading Procedure If you need to upgrade to a build other then mini or a newer release take note of the post-obit. AFTER installing DD-WRT, ONLY flash nv60k (or trailed builds equally noted in the higher up department) Alert: Flashing anything else to the router will brick it every bit noted to a higher place Select the build of your choosing from the the following link: Where do I download firmware? After the initial flash of a K26 build, you can upgrade to K26 mega build, then go to K3X mega. K3X mega is the recommended build version for this router. Follow the aforementioned flashing procedure every bit you lot used for the initial flash | _________________ Regards, Vaako 1x Netgear R7800 Nighthawk - firmware not decided nonetheless !!!! 1x Netgear R7000 Nighthawk r36410 1x Ubiquiti RouterStation Pro DD-WRT r23204 std (12/24/xiii) 1x Asus RT-N16 SVN revision 20675 NEWD-two K2.half-dozen 1x Linksys E4200 v3.0 r34777 mega (01/31/eighteen ) 1x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH B0 B0 Gargoyle FW 1x Linksys WRT600N v1.1 (Bricked) 1x Linksys WRT54GL v1.ane (DD-WRT 26446) 1x Linksys WRT54GS v2.ii (DD-WRT 26446) 1x Linksys RVS4000 (stock fw) 3x D-Link DWL-7100AP (openWRT) 2x TP-Link TL-WA801ND (Bridge manner) 100mW TX-Power Asus WL-520GU SVN 16403M NEWD-two Eko std-nokaid 4x Fonera with Gargoyle FW

Also, SFE works on K3X, not on K26 although the option is in the GUI, information technology does not enable. Also, update to something newer on your vast number of routers, R7000 running a build from 2014, etc. Meet the link in my signature for newer builds. Read the build threads here on the forum. I would read the latest build thread and piece of work your way back if you lot encounter bug. My Asus N66U runs large K3X fine, only I exercise not use the wireless on information technology at all, just NAT, QoS and DHCP. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where practice I download firmware? I rolled my three E4200's back to: dd-wrt.v24-33525_NEWD-2_K3.x_mega-e4200.bin And they've been working great since then. YMMV.

About the Chromecast issues, I have put a OTG cable (with Power injection) and a USB-to-Ethernet (Asix AX8872B) and now my Chromecast is wired. Although the wireless connectedness has a higher speed. _________________ Regards, Vaako 1x Netgear R7800 Nighthawk - firmware not decided yet !!!! 1x Netgear R7000 Nighthawk r36410 1x Ubiquiti RouterStation Pro DD-WRT r23204 std (12/24/13) 1x Asus RT-N16 SVN revision 20675 NEWD-2 K2.6 1x Linksys E4200 v3.0 r34777 mega (01/31/18 ) 1x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH B0 B0 Gargoyle FW 1x Linksys WRT600N v1.1 (Bricked) 1x Linksys WRT54GL v1.1 (DD-WRT 26446) 1x Linksys WRT54GS v2.2 (DD-WRT 26446) 1x Linksys RVS4000 (stock fw) 3x D-Link DWL-7100AP (openWRT) 2x TP-Link TL-WA801ND (Bridge style) 100mW TX-Power Asus WL-520GU SVN 16403M NEWD-2 Eko std-nokaid 4x Fonera with Gargoyle FW
